TEC Hotel Offices
The Techonology Empowerment Center (TEC) offers flexible office space in the form of 2 hotel spaces. Hotel spaces are available on a first-come-first-servce basis.
Located inside of UROC, TEC offers free parking and walking distance from the C Line.
Ammenities include:
- Computer Station
- Telephone Line
- Self-serve Printing/Copying/Fax Center located in the Resource Room

TEC Resource Room
The Technology Empowerment Center (TEC) offers free meeting space in our Resource Room for individuals and business owners to hold meetings and small gatherings.
The Resource Room houses a self-services print, scan, fax and copy center. Print cards can be purchased on site.
Ammenties include:
- 3 Computer Stations
- Conference Table
- Reference Library
- Self-service Print/Copy/Fax Center
The TEC Resouce Room can be reservced and used for private meetings and events.
- The Resource Room cannot be reservced for more than two (2) hours at a time
- The conference table seats 8

Guidelines for the TEC Hotel Offices and Resource Room
Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday-Thursday and 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM on Friday, except for University holidays and Center closures.
There is NO food and only covered beverages allowed in Center spaces.
Users and their guests are only allowed in the Hotel Offices, Resource Room, restrooms, and UROC public places.
Space and equipment are first-come, first-serve; there may be reservations made for the Resource Room. Users and guests must vacate the Resource Room prior to a reservation.
Users and guests must sign in and out with the Center Administrative Assistant.
Space and equipment are for business use only.
Do not deface or alter space or equipment. Do not remove equipment form the Center.
This is a communal and shared space; users and guests may not claim any part of the Center as their sole or primary office space; nor may they claim any relationship or status with the University of Minnesota, other than the relationship and status of a client receiving services through the Center.
Do not give out any University phone numbers, postal addresses, or email addresses as a means of contact. Messages will not be forwarded to users or guests.
Maintain a quiet atmosphere; no speakerphones. Keep cell phones, office lines, voices and computer volume low.
Maintain a professional and civil attitude.
Users and guests should not bring children to the Center for any length of time.
Do not interrupt the Center staff, or meetings in the Resource Room, without permission from the Center Administrative Assistant.
Only download and save to discs or flash drives.
Do not alter, delete, or add programs on the Center computers.
Avoid inappropriate websites.
Office supplies are available within reason; return office tools back to the supply station.
Gopher Gold Cards must be purchased for copy and printing services.
